Emergent Properties

Emergent Properties is my second album that combines cinematic film style with IDM and jazz. Think of a nature TV series or a survival adventure show.

Beginning

Beginning is my first album (2003) that has an ambient dark movie feel to it. Trip-hop, jazz, and ambient styles drive the rolling visual sounds of this album.

When I first moved to Vancouver, I started to compose a wide variety of music. My tracks eventually made it into a climbing documentary and an dance project at Simon Frasier University.

Hello, my name is Shayne Kasai and I'm from Nelson, British Columbia Canada. I have two albums derived from my solo project called Karmasequence. The albums are entitled Beginning and Emergent Properties.
